A small understory tree, Lustre® Allegheny Serviceberry has an upright and open form. It flowers profusely with drooping white clusters of flowers each spring. Edible purplish-black fruit follows in late summer and attracts birds. The leaves emerge a purplish to bronze color, become shiny green in the summer, then shades of orange and red each autumn. Minimal suckering makes this a suitable street tree and for smaller landscapes.
